***HOMESTEAD APPLICATION LETTER***

Section 11.43 (h-1) Texas Property Tax Code, passed by the 88th Legislature and made Effective 9/1/23, now requires each residential property with a homestead exemption be confirmed by each county appraisal district that the property still qualifies for the homestead exemptions once every 5 years.

Kendall Appraisal District is in the process of sending out applications for residents to reapply. If your last name starts with A-E of the alphabet, you have been mailed a letter and will need to respond by April 30th, 2024.

***ALL OTHER LETTERS WILL BE MAILED AT A LATER DATE. YOUR EXEMPTION WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT UNTIL THE REQUESTED DEADLINE TO RESPOND HAS PASSED.***
